That Guy... Yeah, He Died

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Vincent Schiavelli
1948-2005

One of my all time favorite "that guy" actors died today. This was the guy who taught Patrick Swayze how to kick ass as a ghost in Ghost. Remember? He was the smack junkie who tried to assassinate Smoochy in Death to Smoochy; C'mon. Everyone knows this guy's face, and yet, maybe four people on the planet Earth know his name. God, that is so tragic.

Vincent, we love you. I'm sure you're in a better place.

On an unrelated side note:

I am currently in the "Business Center" of the Comfort Inn in West Miami, FL. Expect an FLA Update sometime in the very near future.

If you haven't checked it out, The Drive-By Truckers' website for their new album, A Blessing and a Curse, is up. On the site, you can download the new single from the album, "Feb. 14". Expect to hear it on The Dr. Rock & Capt. Fantasy Show when we return in '06; and please for the love of God, E-MAIL ME SOME REQUESTS.

Rivers, I don't understand why you didn't code for comments on the radio show blog-thing. If you really want requests and feedback, especially from people that aren't AHS students/graduates, it seems like common sense to allows them to write comments on your playlists there instead of having to go through the trouble of e-mailing you or calling you while you're on the air.

Also, I still have no idea who that guy is. Looks like the kind of guy who'd be on Law and Order a lot.

Actually, I did have it set up for comments. Unfortunately, when I was fucking with the template it went away, and I can't get it back. I really don't want to start over, but if that's your request consider it done.

Don't start over, I can fix it.

that guy was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High---the biology teacher i think

My thoughts on Feb. 14:

I dunno...not much of a chorus there, and it doesn't chug along as well as some of Cooley's story type songs that just go in a straight line.

Patterson's really been getting outclassed lately.

Still, pretty good song, but I don't know if I'd pick it as the first single. Hope there's another Zip City or Decoration Day or Lookout Mountain on side B of the new album to compensate.

*outclassed by Isbell and Cooley

Actually, one of Cooley's songs he contributed to the album is called "Space City". Patterson called it his favorite Cooley song to date.

We'll see.

"I never got to see Venice" great line.
