I got this temporary tattoo from Country's BBQ last weekend thinking it was a sticker. When I found out that it was, in fact, a tattoo, I decided to put it on the window of my dormroom. There it shall stay until next year when some some undergrad moves into the room. Hopefully it will perplex him. Maybe to the point of suicide. Who knows?
Anyway, this weekend was another bogus one. Nothing of real note happened, although I did get some great pictures.
On Thursday, following the AHS B-Ball game in Birmingham,
Conor,
Maureen,
Miles,
Richard, and
Rollie all came to 'Vallo to visit me. It was a fun time had by all.
After some afternoon delight in my dormitorium, we headed down to Orr Park for a game of Frisbee.
For some reason, Maureen was being exceedingly anti-social. At one point she sketched off to the bench at the top of the hill where all the goth chicks hang out whenever I'm down there. It was very strange.
After a very spirited, yet somewhat unsuccessful due to windy conditions, game of Frisbee, we headed back on to campus for eats and a guided tour provided by me. We went to the Montevallo cafeteria and ate some dinn. Miles nearly shit himself when I told him that it was all-you-can-eat. He then proceeded to eat one of every item on the menu, plus desert. It was astounding.
After dinner, it was time for a viewing of Montevallo's most famous attraction:
THE WORLD'S LARGEST KNOWN GEODEFor those of you who don't remember your childhood, a geode is one of those rocks that you pay $35 dollars for at a children's museum, break it open, and there's some crystals inside. Well, the Montevallo geode is just a little bigger than that, except there are no crystals inside, just some gay iridescent rock.
BOOOOORING!Nonetheless we had to check it out.
Miles was infatuated.
Rollie even climbed inside the rock. Once there, he achieved spiritual nirvana and ascended to heaven.
After looking at the geode, we walked across the quad to the large hand statues entitled "Becoming".
Conor was particularly fascinated.
It was starting to get dark so we decided to head back to Auburn. Unfortunately, Richard had classes the next day and could not join us. However, my sources tell me that he'll be back this weekend.
On the way back to Auburn, Miles and I had a race. I promptly kicked his ass, despite his claims.
Friday night, I went over to Ryder's apartment. Next door there was a large party going on. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves:
That about sums it up.
Sunday
Charlie and his
WM roommate, Will, came into town for their one day in Auburn during their spring break. We went out to the creek and built a nicely sized campfire. Then we weren't there anymore.
Went home, went to sleep, woke up, came here, went to class, went to sleep, woke up, went to class, went to sleep, woke up, went to class, came back to my room, sat down, here I am.
Goodbye.
ALSO: Congratulations to my high school alma mater,
AHS, on becoming the
Alabama 6A State Basketball Champions. I don't know the first fucking thing about basketball, but you've got to support your peeps.
